#5 - B. Purdy: O 17+ Rush Yards (Tail best line)
Brock Purdy has quietly been one of the more productive rushing quarterbacks this season, and Washington presents another favorable matchup for his mobility.
• Washington allows 21.6 rushing yards and 4.6 rush attempts per game to QBs, 9th- and 10th-most in the NFL
• Purdy has 8 designed rush attempts this season, 8th-most among quarterbacks
• Averages 10.1 yards per scramble, 6th among QBs, and has 7 QB sneaks, 3rd-most
Purdy has cleared this number in 4 of 5 games, averaging 25.6 rushing yards, with his only miss coming last week against Seattle. OddsJam is showing a strong +EV edge on his rushing yardage number, and Washington's tendency to surrender production on the ground gives him an excellent bounce-back opportunity.
#4 - J. Daniels: U 206 Passing Yards (Tail best line)
Jayden Daniels draws a difficult matchup against a San Francisco defense that's been one of the NFL's best at limiting explosive passing plays.
• San Francisco allows just 5.4 yards per attempt, 7th-lowest in the NFL, while Daniels averages 6.0, also 7th-lowest among QBs
• The 49ers allow a league-low 4.1% explosive-play rate and just 6.8 yards of opposing pass depth, 4th-lowest
• Daniels has stayed under this number in all 3 games, posting 164, 96 and 199 passing yards
Daniels averages 8.9 yards of depth per throw, but San Francisco specializes in taking away those deeper opportunities. With Stefon Diggs, Terry McLaurin and Treylon Burks all questionable, Washington could also be missing players responsible for a combined 52% of its targets.
#3 - R. White: O 2+ Receptions (Tail best line)
Rachaad White gets an ideal receiving matchup against a San Francisco defense that's allowed more running back receptions than any team in football.
• San Francisco allows 7.4 RB receptions and 8.4 targets per game, 1st- and 2nd-most in the NFL
• A league-high 33% of all receptions against the 49ers go to running backs
• White has caught all 10 of his targets this season and led Washington's backfield with a 59.7% snap share last week
Washington threw on 77.8% of White's snaps last game and enters as a 7.5-point underdog, creating another favorable passing script. With Austin Ekeler and Jacory Croskey-Merritt both questionable, White could see even more involvement after catching 3 passes in his previous meeting with San Francisco.
#2 - G. Kittle: O 63+ Rec Yards (Tail best line)
George Kittle gets an excellent matchup against a Washington defense that's struggled to contain tight ends and brings pressure at one of the highest rates in football.
• Washington blitzes on 47.2% of snaps, 2nd-most in the NFL, while Kittle ranks 4th among TEs with a 24.7% first-read target rate
• Washington allows 74.4 receiving yards per game to TEs, 5th-most, and 9.1 yards per target, 4th-highest
• Kittle averages 2.60 yards per route run, top-5 among tight ends, and ranks 6th with a 19.7% target share
Kittle has cleared this number in 3 of 5 games, including 2 of his last 3. With Deebo Samuel out and Mike Evans questionable, his involvement could increase even further. OddsJam's Sharp Money tool is also picking up action on Kittle's receiving yardage number, adding to an already favorable matchup against Washington's vulnerable tight end coverage.
#1 - M. Evans: O 1+ TDs (Tail best line)
Mike Evans gets one of the best touchdown matchups on the slate against a Washington defense that's been repeatedly torched by opposing lead receivers.
• Washington allows 3 passing touchdowns per game, most in the NFL, and an 83.3% red-zone touchdown rate, 2nd-highest
• Allows 1.4 receiving touchdowns per game to WRs, 4th-most, and 29.8 points per game, 3rd-most
• Evans leads San Francisco with a 23.9% target share and has scored 4 touchdowns in 5 games
Washington has already surrendered multiple touchdowns to Jaxon Smith-Njigba and CeeDee Lamb, while Malik Nabers also found the end zone. With San Francisco carrying a 29.5-point implied team total and Deebo Samuel out, Evans has an excellent opportunity to add to his touchdown total, provided he's active.
That’s the list. Week 6 wraps up in San Francisco with Commanders vs. 49ers on Monday Night Football, and we’ve got five spots to attack before closing out the week.
See you out there,
-Joe
